A thick creamy soup that really refreshes and energises you ,an appetizer.Its a treat for the vegetarians.

Ingredients

  • Bottle gourd 1 cup
  • Sliced Onion 1 small
  • Ginger-garlic paste ½ tsp
  • Cloves 2-4
  • Peppercorn ½ tsp
  • Bayleaf 1
  • Water ½ cup
  • Milk ¼ cup
  • Butter ½ tbsp
  • Garlic 3-4 cloves

Method

Step 1

Pressure cook the bottle gourd, onions, ginger-garlic paste, cloves, peppercorn, bay leaf and water. Pressure it till two whistles and let it cool.

Once cooled open the lid and take off the cloves and bay leaf, then blend the mixture and put the milk. You could choose to put 1 tbsp of cream too. Keep it aside.

Step 3

Heat the butter in a pan. Put the garlic. Once it turns golden pour the bottle gourd mix into it and let it boil for a minute. Put off the gas once well heated and serve with grated cheese toppings.
