A quick recipe for all-time favorite paneer.

Ingredients

  • Paneer 150 gms
  • Onion 2 medium size cut into thin slices
  • tomato 2 cut into long pieces
  • Green chilies 4 slit length wise
  • Garlic 12 paste
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp grounded
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Chili powder ¾ tsp
  • Cloves 5
  • Pepper corn 7
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • water as required

Method

Step 1

In a broad pan heat oil and fry paneer cubes till golden brown. Remove and keep aside.

Step 2

In the same oil put cloves, pepper corn, bay leaves and fry till they done.

Step 3

Add the thinly sliced onions. Fry till golden brown. Add water and cook till onions become soft and gravy changes color.

Step 4

Add the garlic cumin mixed in a little water and fry till oil starts separating.

Step 5

Put turmeric powder and a little water. Add chilli powder and again a little water and cook till oil separates.

Step 6

Add tomatoes and half a cup of water and salt. Cook till tomatoes soften.

Step 7

Finally add the fried paneer and green chillies. Cook for five minutes and remove.
