Soya kabab are good source of protein. It can be taken as a snack and as koftas for a gravy dish.

NOTE: In case the rolls break while frying coat the rolls in a little corn flour and fry.

Ingredients

  • Soya chunks 1 small bowl
  • Gram dal 50 gms
  • Onion 1 medium size
  • Garlic 4-5 flakes
  • Ginger 1 small piece
  • Dry red chilli 4-5
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Cloves 2-3
  • Black cardamom 2
  • Cinnamon 1 stick
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder a pinch
  • Coriander leaves 1 medium
  • Mint 4-5
  • Green chilli 2-3

Method

Step 1

Wash the gram dal and out in a pan. Add the soya chunks, chopped onions, garlic, ginger, dry red chillies, whole dry masala, turmeric and salt. Add water just enough to cook this gram dal dry and soya chunks soft.

Step 2

Cool and grind this mixture in a grinder or grinding stone. Take the mixture in a broad vessel and mix well. Add the finely chopped ingredients and mix.

Step 3

Form small rolls and shallow fry them on high flame.

Step 4

Serve hot with lime wedges, round slices of onions and sauce.
