Note: If Panch phoran ready made is not easily available in the market then take equal quantity of nigella seeds, black mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, cumin seeds and mix them. Store this in a jar.
- Tomato - 2 medium
- Lady’s finger - 4 cut into wedges
- Yellow Mustard seeds - ¾ tsp
- Water - ½ cup
- Gram flour - 1tsp
- Turmeric powder - 2 pinch
- Salt to taste
- Seasoning oil - 1 tsp
- panch poran - ½ tsp
- green chilli - 2 cut into halves
Preparation Slightly fry the lady’s finger in a wee bit of oil and keep aside. Mix gram flour in water and keep aside.
Put a kadai on the gas (medium flame) and put the tomatoes without putting any oil. Add the salt and turmeric powder. Saute it for sometime.
Put the mustard paste along with the gram flour mix. Let it boil for a minute then put the lady’s finger. Now let the gravy thicken a little on a low flame. Once done turn off the gas and do the seasoning.
Seasoning : heat oil and put panch poran, green chilies, curry leaves.
Once it splutters pour this over the prepared gravy and cover it.
